No-Fault Won’t Save You Money

When Care First was announced, the government promised it would save Albertans $400 a year on auto insurance. Now, both government and insurers admit those savings will not happen.

In fact:

• Premiums are already approved to rise 7.5% in both 2025 and 2026 – a total 15% increase before Care First even starts.
• No-fault systems in other provinces and countries have consistently failed to keep costs down, and some are now the most expensive in their regions.

If there’s no savings, there’s no reason to give up your rights.
